Commissioned in 2016 the 200 yard range is available to all members to use upon completion of range specific course and annual fee of $60.00.
Presently the range operates with a pair of custom made ‘snail traps’ bullet catchers. Snail traps are the ultimate in bullet catchers featuring a wide funnel entry leading into a vertical cylinder. Bullets pass through the funnel and spin around inside the cylinder expending all their energy prior to falling into bucket completely spent and safe.
The range is a ‘zero template’ facility not requiring a safety area. All projectiles are terminated inside the confines of the rifle range. Users must operate an adjustable steel baffle system that limits the view of the target zone and prevents any projectiles exiting the range.
